Hostellerie du Suroît

I was very pleased to stay here. We had no reservation but was received warmly and offered a very nice room. The place is kept up very well and is very clean, more like home than a hotel. You must climb stairs to get to your room. There is a great view of the water over a lovely back yard that could be a great party venue for any large family function like a wedding. The breakfast is cold cereals and coffee/milk. There is a restaurant in the place but was closed at the time we were there. If you don't need to run the AC the room is very quiet. I would stop here again when I am in the area.

The owner is beautifully kind hearted. She went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect. The rooms are clean and comfotable with different options available for bed types. It is located right on a river with a wonderful backyard that has a pool and a fire place. I 100% recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay here again!

Good service despite challenging conditions for staff, as an activé voting location. The room was clean, a bit small but quite comfortable. Limited yet satisfactory continental breakfast; staff helped us with bags to grab-and-go. Nice waterfront backyard, quiet location, excellent for biking or walking.

I loved this place. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We had access to the lounge with a beautiful view of the river. Room was tiny but clean and renovated. There is a mini fridge in each room. I didn’t take a shower here but there is small shower in each room. Just keep in mind that there is no elevator in the building and no restaurant in walking distance.

Absolutely a 5 star rating!!! The owner Brigitte is an awesome, caring person. She made us feel like family. She had an interesting, explanatory conversation with us. She offered us homemade jam with our breakfast. And also offered us to pick tomatoes or whatever was ripe in her backyard garden. 5 star rating!! Returning soon, and we will definitely be staying there!

Less than one hour out of Montreal one will find a Hostellerie (Motel) which is more a Hotel than a Motel. It’s much cheaper than in Montreal directly. Staff is friendly, the room offered more than expected: huge bed, place to sit, bath room with shower plus bath. Situated directly near the water it would be nice to sit there and watch the river. Now it was cold outside but the small heaters in room and bath did work excellent. Can’t understand negative statements here.

I loved every stay at this hotel. Great location with a breathtaking view, delicious breakfast, and most importantly wonderful staff!

My recent stay at the hotel was a peaceful escape. Although the hotel had some drawbacks, the overall experience was tranquil and warm. -One of the notable perks of the hotel is its ample parking area in front of the building which is not only convenient but also free. -The receptionist greeted us with care, helpfulness, and positivity. -The room: There was a disappointment-the bed. Instead of a proper bed frame, the mattress had been placed directly on a hardboard. -The bathroom: It was clean and also decorated with thoughtful touches that could suit guests' needs. -Common area: It offers a picturesque view. Moreover, various snacks are available, including a coffee machine, yogurt, bread, peanut butter, and cornflakes. Overall, the hotel left me feeling like a cozy cottage holiday. In my opinion, there is no doubt it meets the price-performance.
